A rusty, weathered radiation warning sign with a yellow background and black nuclear symbol, mounted on a brick wall.
  • We use high a quality Radiacode 110 scintillator detector (typically measuring in CPM) to provide accurate readings for every piece. These measurements are included in the product description so you know exactly what you are adding to your collection.

  • I have multiple devices but all published radiation counts are made using a Radiacode 110. This measures only gamma radiation so it should give a more consistent representation of actual radioactive activity. All values are displayed in Counts Per Minute (CPM). Being a very popular device, my measurements can easily be correlated to other detectors.

  • Currently I am collecting all minerals myself and antiques are items I find in local shops. I am not reselling any minerals - all minerlas for sale are harvested personally by me in the state of Utah where I live to keep costs low.

  • No. Not even close. I am not selling mineral expertise or pretty rocks but instead I am selling radioactive objects that are of value to those interested in collecting such things and for use in education and as test sources for geiger counters.

  • All minerals are collected by me. I do not buy and resell minerals. I built this store to offer the best prices possible on Uranium ore or similar minerals for hobbyists that simply want to have access to affordable radioactive test sources.

  • Yes. In most jurisdictions (including the US), it is legal to own naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) as "unimportant quantities" of source material for mineral collections or educational purposes. However, we recommend checking your local regional regulations.

  • When handled with respect, these specimens are generally safe for adult collectors. Most emit alpha and beta particles that are blocked by glass display cases or a few inches of air. However, they should never be inhaled, ingested, or kept in pockets for long periods.

    • Store specimens in a glass-fronted cabinet.

    • Keep the display in a room where you do not spend 8+ hours a day (like a hallway or office, rather than a bedroom).

    • Ensure the area is well-ventilated to prevent the buildup of radon gas.

  • Safety is our priority. Every specimen is double-bagged and shielded as needed in sturdy packaging to ensure it meets postal regulations regarding radiation levels at the package surface. We use discrete, secure boxes to ensure your items arrive safely and privately.

  • Due to varying international laws regarding "source materials," we do not ship internationally to avoid unintentionally breaking any laws.

  • By collecting all minerals myself and avoiding ANY middleman, we pass the savings on to the community of amateur scientists and collectors.

  • Because of the nature of the material, returns must be handled via specific shipping protocols. If you are unsatisfied, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery for instructions. Buyer is responsible for return shipping.
